ABOUT :
The Indian Agricultural Research Institute commonly known as Pusa Institute is India's premier national Institute for agricultural research, education and extension.Situated in Delhi, it is financed and administered by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research . The IARI was responsible for the research leading to the "Green Revolution in India" of the 1970s.
The institute was originally established in 1905 at Pusa, Bihar, as Agricultural Research Institute , which was changed to Imperial Institute of Agricultural Research in 1911 and then again in 1919 as the Imperial Agricultural Research Institute. with the financial assistance of an American Philanthropist, Henry Phipps, Jr.. Phipps was a family friend of Lady Curzon, who was the daughter of American millionaire and wife of Lord Curzon, the Viceroy of India. Phipps stayed as a guest of Curzons during his visit to India. More importantly, Phipps left behind with them a donation of $30,000, which was utilized for the establishment of the institute. He laid the foundation stone of Agricultural Research Institute and college on 1 April 1905.

Age Limit :
Candidates maximum age limit is 40 years for men & 45 years for Women for Post 5, 35 years for Post 6, 7 & 30 years for Post 8 & minimum age should be 18 years as on date of interview for Post 7 & 8. Age relaxation of 05 years for SC/ ST. Women, 03 years for OBC & 10 years for PH candidates is applicable as per govt rules.
Educational Qualification :
For Post 1 :
Candidates should possess Post Graduation Degree in Botany/ Life Sciences/ Biotechnology or M.Tech/ M.Sc in Agril Process Engg/ Food Engg/ Food Sc & Tech/ Food Technology
Graduation for Post 2 : 12th pass
For Post 3 & 4 : Ph.D Degree in Agricultural Economics/ Economics/ Agricultural Statistics/ Statistics
For Post 5 : M.Sc (Agricultural Physics/ statistics Soil Science, Geo Physics &Aril Chemistry)/ M Tech
For Post 6 : M.Sc.in Plant Pathology/ Horticulture/ Agriculture/ Allied Agril Sciences
For Post 7 : Graduation in any Discipline for Post 8 with relevant experience.
